E-Learning and Online Training Services

MarketingOC Studios specializes in designing and deploying the most current, effective e-learning and new media techniques to engage and encourage people to take action.  The learning modules we develop for our clients, engage each learner, and motivate them to not just read the words on the screen, but to participate in the learning experience.

MarketingOC Studios has developed over 125 custom e-learning / training courses - some of which were featured on the Dr. Phil Show and Tyra Banks shows. This is something that we are very proud of, however, the real pride in our work comes from knowing that what we create, can make a difference in the workplace and people's lives.

We have produced interactive marketing and learning environments that have:

  • Increased revenues
  • Reduced costs
  • Increased employee knowledge
  • Resulted in better safety and compliance
  • Changed lives

We are ready to fulfill the e-learning needs for your business. Here’s how…

E-Learning Design & Development Overview

PHASE 1: Content Collection & Review

Every interactive application and e-learning begins with understanding the Learning Objective for each user. Once we have these objectives or goals at hand, we begin to structure the e learning course and environment to meet the objective as well as corporate and user needs.

No matter the learning objectives, the goal always starts with a vision towards producing and branding a  rich, interactive learning experience.

In this initial phase, our Creative Learning Director will meet with your team to:

  • Discuss specific needs
  • Define learning objectives
  • Gather assets – text, graphics, video
  • Brainstorm about learning themes / tone
  • Develop a base wireframe model
  • Develop overall project plan

PHASE 2: Storyboard & Graphics

In this phase, we focus on a script, storyboard and graphics. We recommend that audio and video narration be used in all new e-learning courses. This will give each interactivity a human touch to convey the “story” to the learner.  The following tasks will be accomplished during this phase:

  • Using the established content model developed in Phase 1, create an active learning storyboard including a model framework for learning activities for each learning screen
  • Develop a script to coincide with the learning storyboard for voice over / video recording
  • Presentation of potential voice over talent recordings
  • Begin to develop assign and develop graphics for each storyboard screen
  • Identification of areas for interactivity and assessment

PHASE 3: Multimedia

Content and objects that are animated to serve a purpose help to engage the user and keep the user focused.  For example, words and objects don’t need to appear on screen all at once.

Graphics and text are animated to enter and exit the learning screen, become emphasized, or move specifically along a motion path.  These graphics can build in sync with the script, introducing ideas as they are presented. Text and graphics can appear on the slide and then disappear to make room for additional elements on the screen.

E-learning modules often do not provide a live facilitator to look to for additional action.  Therefore, screens may be more text intensive to not only allow constant movement on the screen, but to reinforce visually what the learner is hearing in the audio or video.

This phase includes:

  • Development of Flash learning animations
  • Recording of voice over audio
  • Video Production / Editing / Implementation of  video

PHASE 4:  Interactivity & Assessment

Offering interactivity within the learning module is essential for engaging the user and ensuring they are not just watching the information being presented, but are participating in the e- learning experience.  These interactions also serve as knowledge checks to break up the presentation and validate knowledge transfer. These interactions may include:

  • Choices – e.g. choose the right answer
  • Sequencing – e.g. arrange items in the proper order
  • Quizzes
  • Learning Games
  • Knowledge Assessments
  • Custom Interactions

PHASE 5: Production Development

This is the phase when all elements come together to create the interactive learning modules.  All elements from the other phases are integrated to create the learning modules.  There really is too much to list here, so let's just say, this is where the "magic" all comes together.

PHASE 6: Testing

MarketingOC Studios employs a thorough quality assurance process which includes:

  • Instructional design final review
  • Graphics review
  • Content editing review
  • Web compliance review
  • Code review
  • User interface final review

PHASE 7: Packaging for WEB, CD/DVD & LMS

Our e-learning courses are prepared for final delivery in FLASH or any format that meets your needs, to distribute the courses both from the web and on CD/DVD.  In addition, the courses we develop will be SCROM and AICC compliant for direct integration into the Learning Management System, either now, or for your future needs.

Learning Managing System Integration

At the heart of effective online learning environments is a robust Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS is where all users, courses, assessments and certifications are managed. The LMS is the engine behind the learning experience. It is what enables users to enroll in the courses and allows their progress and results to be tracked. It is the place where the course administrators have a complete view of learner activity and course management. Not all of our contents use or need an LMS – that’s ok. We just want you to know that if you require this dashboard view into the complete operations of your training operations and its users, MarketingOC Studios can provide several options for you to consider (aka – we’ve got you covered!)

Please contact us today to discuss your online training / e-learning needs.
